Ovarian Stimulation is the process of administering hormonal medications to encourage the ovaries to produce multiple eggs (Multiple Follicle Development). Initial Assessment: Before starting, doctors use ultrasound and blood tests to assess hormone levels and the Antral Follicle Count (AFC) to determine the most effective medication protocol for you.

Hormone Administration: Patients receive hormonal medications, usually in the form of easy-to-use self-injections. The stimulation phase typically lasts about 8–10 days.

Follicle Monitoring: During this period, you will visit the clinic periodically for ultrasounds to track the size and number of follicles. Your medication dosage will be adjusted as needed to ensure the best response.

The Trigger Injection: Once the follicles reach the ideal size (approx. 17–18 mm), a “Trigger Injection” (HCG or LH-mimicking hormone) is administered to induce final maturation. This step is critical as it sets the exact timing for egg retrieval.

Egg Retrieval: Retrieval occurs 34–36 hours after the trigger injection. The procedure is performed under light sedation using a small needle guided by ultrasound through the vaginal wall.
