Hysteroscopy is a procedure to investigate the inside of uterus to identify any causes of infertility.

 

Process

A hysteroscopy is a procedure in which a doctor inserts a small-diameter device into your uterus. The hysteroscope is inserted through vagina and into uterus. This device has a small, lighted camera on the tip allowing doctors to see the inside your uterus, enabling doctor to look for pathologies in the uterine cavity such as fibroids, polyps, and adhesion of the uterus.

• Women who have abnormal uterine bleeding

• Women who have recurrent miscarriages

• Women with abnormal endometrial lining on ultrasound scan with a suspected pathological condition.
