Welcome to the Light of Day Radiation Oncology Center at MedPark Hospital, where we provide cutting-edge radiotherapy treatments for cancer and other conditions. Located on floor B2, our Radiotherapy Department is designed with the highest safety standards, ensuring spacious, clean, safe, and private surroundings for our patients. We are open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and appointments are available to cater to your needs.

Our well-equipped Radiotherapy Department is designed to deliver the most precise and efficient treatments to our patients. We offer two types of radiotherapy: teletherapy, where radiation is delivered externally, and brachytherapy, where a radioactive source is placed directly inside the body near the tumor. Both methods ensure targeted treatment while minimizing radiation exposure to healthy tissues. 

Key Features of our Radiotherapy Department: 

• Advanced Linear Accelerators: We have two Linear Accelerators (LINAC) and one brachytherapy machine that allow us to treat a large number of patients efficiently. These machines are essential for delivering various radiotherapy treatments with high accuracy and precision. 

• CT Simulator: Our state-of-the-art CT Simulator, Siemens SOMATOM Confidence, allows us to simulate 3D treatment and ensure that the tumor receives a high dose of radiation while sparing surrounding healthy tissues. The large size of the simulator ensures patient comfort throughout the treatment. 

• Surface Tracking System: To enhance treatment precision, we employ a cutting-edge surface tracking system that monitors the patient's movements during treatment. This ensures that the radiation beam is accurately targeted to the tumor, accounting for any patient movements. 

• ELEKTA Teletherapy Technology: Our ELEKTA InfinityTM and ELEKTA VersaHD machines offer various radiotherapy techniques, such as Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), and 4D Techniques. These machines allow us to precisely treat tumors at different depths, providing optimal results. 

• ELEKTA Flexitron for Brachytherapy: Our specialists use ELEKTA Flexitron for brachytherapy, where a radioactive source is inserted directly into the tumor to deliver radiation. This technique is highly effective for treating cervical, endometrial, and prostate cancers. 

• Personalized Treatment Planning: Our medical physicists and radiation oncologists work closely to create personalized treatment plans for each patient. The planning process ensures that the tumor receives a high dose of radiation while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues.
